Irwell Valley introduced the Residents’ Scrutiny Panel (RSP) to give customers more power to hold Irwell Valley to account for their decisions and their performance. The aim of the panel is to scrutinise the services provided by Irwell Valley and ensure these services are effective and efficient.
Who sits on the Panel?
The RSP is made up of 8 residents. All panel members come from a neighbourhood near you and all bring with them a willingness to help improve the services provided by Irwell Valley, a wealth of varying skills, knowledge and experiences and the time to commit.
How the Panel operates
Each year, the Panel agrees the service areas to be scrutinised. These are agreed with the Board of Management on an annual basis. As part of the scrutiny process, Panel members will:
Before each inspection, the Residents Scrutiny Panel meet with the Heads of Service who provide the panel with a 360 degree view of the service to be inspected. Each inspection can take between 10 – 12 weeks to complete. Recent RSP inspections have included
