Our Neighbourhood Officers have a key role at Irwell Valley - to help us achieve our vision of “creating fantastic places to live and enjoy life”.
In order to increase the visibility and presence of our Neighbourhood Officers within our neighbourhoods we provide them all with eco friendly, fully liveried Smart Cars
They also use state of the art hand held technology so that their work can be done on the ground in the neighbourhoods in which they operate. They also wear fully badged corporate clothing so that our residents can see them and approach them with any queries.
During their working day our Neighbourhood Officers inspect their neighbourhood and deal with any issues identified including untidy gardens, fly tipping, litter, graffiti, repairs, abandoned vehicles, abandoned properties, and vandalism. They will also get involved in investigating incidents of anti-social behaviour and other breaches of tenancy conditions. But that’s not all – they also visit residents in their homes, inspecting the property and address any tenancy related issues, and promote resident involvement - attending tenants and residents association meetings, arranging and facilitating focus groups and open meetings with residents.
Our Neighbourhood Officers accomplish all this by providing excellent customer service at all times to both their internal and external customers.
