Welcome to Irwell Valley's website! Whether you’re one of our customers and want to find out more about our services, want to pay your rent or report a repair; one of our partners; looking to join our team or are just browsing – we hope you like our new website! We’d love to hear your views.

We’re planning even more changes for our website over the next year which we are really excited about! We hope that these changes will make accessing our services even easier for our customers and potential customers. If you have any other suggestions or ideas, please let us know.
Who are we?
We’re an award winning housing organisation – providing homes and services to over 20,000 people in Greater Manchester. Our mission is "to create fantastic places to live and enjoy life” and we’re constantly striving to achieve this through the work we do.

We were the first housing organisation to implement a rewards and incentive package for our residents – Gold Service, and we think that this has helped change the behaviour of many of our customers in terms of paying their rent and abiding by the terms of their tenancy agreements. We believe in tough rights and tough responsibilities – and these form the basis of our Gold Service.

We have also been recognised as a great employer (Financial Times Top 50 Businesses – see our awards page) and our Gold Service ethos also follows through in our fantastic Three Tier Employment Package.

Irwell Valley makes successful bid under new lead

Irwell Valley has been allocated over £4,500,000 from the Housing Corporation National Affordable Housing Programme (NAHP) to provide new affordable homes between 2008 and 2011.

The £3.3 billion spend announced today by the Corporation is over a third of the NAHP 2008-11 budget of £8.4 billion across the three-year programme, and includes new allocations and existing commitments which will deliver completions in 2008-11. The allocation means Irwell Valley successfully meets the Corporation's higher programme standards for both value and quality.

Neil Baumber, Irwell Valley’s Assistant Chief Executive said, “This is fantastic news for residents and colleagues. It’s our first year with PPA status and this allocation equates in real terms to an investment programme in excess of £20m to provide new homes in the region. It’s a vote of confidence in the Association.”

Housing Minister Caroline Flint said, "We need more homes in every region - to ensure first-time buyers and families have decent affordable housing to buy or to rent. This money will go towards doubling the amount of affordable, sustainable homes being built over the next three years, and will increase the number of family-size homes and rural homes.”
