Food, Drink and What's On
Fallowfield and Withington have a large number of pubs and bars mainly concentrated on Wilmslow Road. This is due to the large local population and the student halls of residence which can be found especially in Fallowfield. Most of the pubs in Withington are quite traditional, but there’s a growing number of cafe bar style places in Fallowfield. Wilmslow Road in Rusholme (less than a mile from the centre of Fallowfield) is famous for its busy Asian restaurants, shops and cafes. – ‘The Curry Mile’
Nearby Chorlton buzzes with award winning independent bars and restaurants and each year is host to the Manchester Fringe Food & Drink Festival. Withington village, with more shops and entertainment is about a mile away and the Parrs Wood Entertainment Complex in Didsbury is another popular destination just two miles from Fallowfield.
