All reports will be logged on our database. Witnesses will receive an acknowledgement letter within 1 working day which will include a reference number and the name of the person assigned to investigate the case. Cases will be assigned to one person. Witnesses will be contacted and full details of the incident taken. Examples of our response times are:-
24 hour response – Category A
- Hate behaviour
- Threats or acts of violence
Within 5 working days – Category B and C (low level)
- Neighbour disputes
- Animal nuisance
- Loud music
An action plan will be agreed with the witness as to how the case is to progress. Witnesses will be kept informed at agreed timescales throughout the duration of their case, usually weekly or fortnightly.
At no time during the course of an investigation will your details be given to a third party without your consent. Every step will be taken by the Association not to identify you should you not wish to be identified.
