Irwell Valley was the first housing organisation to launch a rewards and incentive scheme for its customers.
Since October 1998, Gold Service has grown and developed. Around 90% of our customers are Gold Service members.
The idea behind Gold Service is simple – we want to recognise the loyalty of those customers who pay their rent on time and abide by the terms of their tenancy agreement – by giving them rewards. We also want to change the behaviour of other customers by giving them incentives to pay their rent and abide by the terms of their tenancy agreement.
It’s easy to join Gold Service.
Customers must apply for membership by completing a simple
application form, which can also be requested by completing the form at the bottom of this page. They must then satisfy our simple membership criteria:
- pay rent on time for at least 6 weeks
- pay rent plus any arrangement to repay arrears for a period of at least 12 weeks
- not break any other terms of their tenancy agreement
A Gold Service member will have their membership status suspended if they fail to continually meet the above criteria.
Gold Service Members enjoy a range of benefits:
- for each week a member qualifies for membership, they receive £1. Up to £52 is paid to members each year paid in Bonusbonds (x3 a year)
- a faster repairs service (Gold service repairs are completed in 3 hrs for emergency, 3 days for urgent repairs and 10 days for routine repairs*)
- Access to Education & Training Grants
- Community Gold (IV will double any points pooled by a “group” of residents)
- Community Awards – access to a pot of money to fund one-off community events
- Countdown Cards – providing members with discounts in ‘000s of retial outlets across the country
[*please note: some routine repairs may be classed as "held works" as part of our Best Value Policy]
