We understand that by listening to residents and taking action on your feedback it makes us more accountable to you. Resident involvement underpins all we do at Irwell Valley and all colleagues work jointly with residents as partners in order to improve neighbourhoods and services.
With the benefit of your involvement we aim to increase your satisfaction with your home, neighbourhood and the services we provide. Through listening and feeding back to you we hope to build a good, solid relationship with you, one built on our core values of honesty, dignity, respect and trust.
We offer a diverse variety of involvement opportunities to our residents and all our customers. Opportunities to get involved are outlined in our “
Keeping our ear to the Ground” document, which offers a level of involvement to suit everyone, from attending a focus group to becoming a resident board member.
Ways to get involved
Spot It Jot It
Spot
It Jot It is a way for you to report anything that you think needs our attention. Follow

Service Excellence Forums
To get your feedback on our services, Irwell Valley has set up several Service Excellence Forums, which allow residents to give comments and alter how we work. In the past, residents have helped us select new gas servicing and repairs contractors that deliver an improved service for residents.
For more information on our Service Excellence Forums, contact Alicia Littlewood on 0161 610 4792.
Join a TARA
A TARA is a group set up and run by residents, which aims to make an impact on their community. There are currently eight active TARAs within our neighbourhoods, which receive support from Irwell Valley to help them meet their training and funding needs.
If you’d like to find out more about setting up a TARA in your area, contact our Customer Involvement Officer, Kelly Cunningham, on 0161 610 4724 or speak to your
Neighbourhood Officer on their next visit.
