Richmond Hill - “A long term asset to the City” – Hazel Blears MP, Secretary of State, Communities & Local Government.
Salford MP and Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government, Hazel Blears officially opened Irwell Valley’s latest development in Salford, Richmond Hill this morning and forecast that the scheme will be a long-term asset to the city.
Following a tour of the 57apartment development, Ms Blears congratulated Irwell Valley and DAC Architects for the light and spaciousness design and for especially for ‘a great conversion’ of the former Broughton Tavern, adding that the scheme will make a big difference to the city of Salford and people’s lives.
Situated in prime urban living location, Richmond Hill is a successful conversion of the former landmark tavern into 9 apartments for shared ownership and an adjacent new build of 48 apartments – 12 for outright sale – arranged on 5 storeys above a basement car park. A single retail commercial unit will be located on the south corner of the building.
A public art installation arranged around the front of the development created by artist John Packer completes the magnificent impact of this outstanding development.
Prices start from £40,000 for a 50 per cent stake in a one-bed apartment in the converted tavern and around £60,000 for the same stake in a new two-bed apartment,
