Irwell Valley is a not-for-profit housing association with charitable objectives, providing housing and management services to over 7,000 households across the Greater Manchester area.
We are regulated by the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) who took over the regulatory role of the Housing Corporation in December 2008. Their main aim is to ensure that residents get the best possible services from their landlord. In September 2011 we produced our Annual Report to Customers, please

Since the TSA took over from the Housing Corporation, they have been consulting with residents and housing providers. The TSAs proposals resulting from this consultation has now been launched as the New Regulatory Framework. A summary of this framework can be downloaded by

This document outlines the 6 new standards for social housing providers. It describes the outcomes the TSA expects to see delivered as well as outlining their expectations of housing providers in terms of setting out what we will offer to residents. The TSA also expects housing providers to set local standards based on the priorities of the local communities.
We have distributed a copy of this summary to members of our Residents Committee, please

As a registered provider of housing, we are also open to being inspected by the Audit Commission and we were
"short notice inspected" in October 2009. To find out more about our inspection - including finding out what the outcomes of the inspection were please
