Irwell Valley In The TV Spotlight

Irwell Valley has taken part in a special report for BBC North West Tonight about the demand for affordable housing in the region.

The two part series broadcast throughout the day on October 7th and 8th, showcases our award winning development – Richmond Hill in Salford – which offers apartments though Shared Ownership, Rent Now Buy Later and Market Rent – an assured shorthold tenancy with a minimum 6 month contract.

Irwell Valley’s Assistant Chief Executive, Neil Baumber talked to the BBC about the consequences for affordable social housing if investment is cut.

The features coincide with a report from the National Housing Federation North West – ‘North West Home Truths 2010: Why investment in affordable housing matters.’

The report, which is officially launched October 12, gives a unique snapshot of the region’s economic and housing crisis.
