Equality and Diversity and Our Contractors
We are working with our contractors to ensure that they embrace the principals of equality and diversity. We have carried out training with all the contractors who carry out repairs, in order to raise awareness and increase their understanding of equality and diversity and the importance of treating people as individuals – not providing a ‘one size fits all’ service.
We have set actions for our contractors to review their Equality and Diversity Policies in line with recent legislation, to look at the profile of their staff to see if they are representative of the community and to review their apprenticeship and local labour initiatives.
