Irwell Valley collects the Double

Irwell Valley is celebrating after collecting a host of awards in UK 50 Best Workplaces List.

For the 5th consecutive year, Irwell Valley is ranked amongst the Top 50 Workplaces in the UK listing compiled by the Great Place to Work Institute, earning the Association a 'laureate award' for their ability to 'sustain and champion excellence'.

Irwell Valley also collected the Disability Excellence Award, which recognises organisations that demonstrate a positive attitude towards disability and is embedded in the workplace culture.

Nick Bason, public affairs manager at the Employers Forum on Disability says Irwell Valley recognises that disabled people need to be treated differently, in order to be treated fairly.

Irwell Valley received further recognition for its commitment to colleague development with a third ranking in the 'Best for Life Long Learning' category for providing significantly higher number of hours of informal job training than other organisations.

The Great Place to Work Institute was founded in 1991 and provides national and sector-specific rankings of the best workplaces around the world.

Commenting on Irwell Valley's successes, CEO Dr. Tom Manion says:

"Our approach to employee wellbeing is endorsed by these accreditations. This drive for continuing excellence in the workplace is intrinsic to our culture as it ultimately impacts on all our stakeholders - especially our residents - who benefit from our aim to engage colleagues in all areas of their work. It's an honour to co-operate with the Great Place to Work Institute and we are tremendously proud today of our achievements."

Irwell Valley joins just 13 other organisations to achieve the status of Laureate and appears in the Institute's Hall of Fame.

End.
